DCF needs input from deaf, hard-of-hearing community

The Department of Children and Families wants to improve communication methods when providing services to persons who are deaf or hard-of-hearing. For this purporse members of the deaf and hard-of-hearing community in the Tampa Bay area are invited to share personal insights at an informal meeting on Feb. 1 at the Tampa office of the Deaf Service Bureau (see address below!)


Main goals:


1. Identify strengths and gaps in services DCF provides
to customers who are deaf or hard-of-hearing.

2. Discuss your opinion on how DCF may improve
effective communication with customers who are deaf or hard-of-hearing, in order to provide better service in
our programs.
