Deaf Success Story: Kurt "The IRISH Chef" Ramborger wins Hottest Chef in Austin competition, advances to national round

With amazing support from the Deaf community worldwide, ViUDA Bistro's Kurt "The Irish Chef" Ramborger, won the contest for Hottest Chef in Austin and then went on to beat Portland's Greg Gourdet of Departure to advance to the next round of Eater's annual Hottest Chef in America competition. Ramborger and several of his colleagues at ViUDA Bistro are deaf and their success basically paves the way for other deaf chefs and artists to gain more recognition as well as acceptance in the U.S.
They are also showing that passion and a positive mindset can help overcome any obstacles.
